Having an installer or technician at your home for the day can be disruptive for everyone, including your pets. Your dog is more likely to be on guard when a new person enters the home, and we want to make sure everyone is kept safe. A few useful tips can help the day go smoothly and keep your pets calm.

Always let the service provider know you have a pet and any special considerations that go along with that. We try to accommodate most situations.

Try to get outside with your dog for some exercise and play before the technician arrives. Getting some focused attention from you first helps them to feel more relaxed when we arrive.

Secure your pets (dogs and cats) while the installer is in the house. We are bringing windows & supplies in and out the doors and would feel terrible if your furry best friend escaped and ran scared down the street. We find a separate room or kennel works best, someplace familiar to the pet.

For outside work, it is best to have your pets inside and safely tucked away. The crew is coming in and out of the gate and there are often tools and nails in the work area that could be dangerous.

If you’d like to introduce your pet to the service professional, do so after the work is completed. The dog won’t feel as though he’s needing to protect the house space since nothing is being moved around once the work is done.
