A quick “price comparison over the phone” isn’t what it seems.

Maybe you’ve just sat through a high-pressure presentation with a salesman that wouldn’t leave?  Or a company gave you a price that was so high you think the project is forever out of reach.  Are trying to justify a low price estimate without really looking at the whole package?

We know a phone call to get prices sounds like a time saver to you, but is it in your best interest?  Probably not.  A company can’t give you an accurate idea on pricing without looking at the job site, inspecting for building code requirements and evaluating your options along with you.  A good home improvement company works with you, not offering a “one size fits all” solution.

By meeting with you, face-to- face, we can work with you, not against you, to find the best solution for your situation.  Products vary and so do installation techniques.  We strive hard to offer our customers an honest, fair price.  If we were to price something over the phone and then get out to the house later and find out that an item doesn’t work, or a different installation is needed, it would seem misleading.  We would rather take a bit of time, yours and ours, to get it right the first time.

We respect that your time is valuable, our is, too.  When we ask to meet with you, it isn’t so we can pressure you to sign on the dotted line.  We really do need to take a close look at the project to give you’re an accurate estimate you can rely on.

You owe it to yourself to take the time and be involved (both of you if there is more than one owner).  Meet each contractor and look at each product.  Listen carefully to your options.  Only after careful consideration of both the products and the company, should you move to the decision making phase.

Consider this an interview rather than a sales pitch.  Ask questions and get involved.  By being active in the process, you’ll end up with a remodeling project you love.

  • What kind of company are they?
  • Were they prompt and respectful of your time and your home?
  • Do you feel comfortable knowing they’ll be working in your home?
  • Were you pressured into accepting an offer that is only good today?
  • Beware of “price drops” that entice you into thinking it is a great, limited-time offer.
  • Do you really want a “guy and his truck” doing the work?  What if something goes wrong, where can you turn for help?

Doing business with a professional, established company just make good sense when replacing your windows, looking at maintenance free siding options or choosing a metro Littleton roofing company.
