Evergrain From Tamko

EverGrain tamko composite decking

Tamko began operation in 1944, operating in Joplin, Missouri, when they began crafting shingles. Over the years, Tamko has grown their company, all the while maintaining that first facility in Joplin, expanding out from the world of shingles into other products for the outside of your home. It was only natural that they would spread into making decking materials, and from there the natural progression was to offer a decking material made of composite materials, which lead to the development of Evergrain composite decking.

Evergrain is a compression-molded composite material for constructing your deck, which allows for greater randomization in the molding process and means you’re more likely to end up with a realistic pattern rather than a pattern that repeats. Tamko offers their Evergrain line in five colors:

  • Cape Cod Gray
  • Cedar
  • Redwood
  • Weathered Wood
  • Forest Green

The advantages of picking Evergrain composite decking materials are that they are sturdier than standard wood, much less likely to rot, and they are easy to clean. They don’t require all the work that you would have to put into the maintenance of wood, and you won’t have to stain them every year to keep them beautiful. Cleaning is a simple affair, and installation is also simpler. Evergrain is a great building material, and one that is easy to work with when building and once installed, and a product you will love for years to come.
